Meet the breeders!

Shamrock Kennels was founded in 2019!

Chris and Lauren's adoration for dogs goes back to when both of them were very young and it shows in the loving care they show for each puppy that comes from the Shamrock home! 

Chris grew up in Providence, Rhode Island, but spent the majority of his life in Laurinburg/Maxton, North Carolina. Lauren grew up in Chicago, Illinois and moved to Houston, Texas when she was very young. She spent most of her adult life in Asheville, North Carolina.

 Chris made the move to Rocky Point/Wilmington, NC about 5 years ago.This is when he was introduced to the Cane Corso breed with his first puppy Capone.  Lauren joined the Shamrock's about a year ago and now the team is complete!

As they say, it was a wrap from there!

Once Capone was adopted, Chris shortly thereafter adopted his second Corso, Freya. The Shamrock's currently have 8 adult corsos! Capone, Freya, Layla (Capone's mother and grandmother to most of the puppies!), Athena, Gizmo, Thelma, Louise, (the 3 sisters) and our newest stud Draco. 

And of course we cannot leave out the English Bulldog, Chungus, who thinks he is a Corso too!

Seeing first hand the terrible conditions some breeders have their dogs in, he wanted to do things differently...after all...these are family members, not just pets! With 9 Acres to run, all of the dogs have adequate exercise and room to play. A small pond to keep cool was also a must for the warm beachy summers of this area! 

All of the parents of the puppies are on site...EVEN SOME GRANDPARENTS! There is a dedicated whelping barn for the mothers as they go into labor and raise these beautiful puppies!
